Subject: using gus patches with Dos sequencer

Hi..

  have a Gus 1-meg with patches loaded in patch manager,
and patch manager running.  

  also have a Dos sequencer (sequencer plus gold for dos)
that runs in a dos box in windows.

  when i play notes, then travel out the midi port of a
PC midi interface (by music quest), to the keyboard, and
thru to the gus midi port box.

  i want the notes on the gus to respond faster.. so they
play in time with the keyboard!  (right now, they fire-off
quite slowly and unreliably!)

  HELP!!!!  (by e-mail please, i can summarize responses &
                repost)

ps: i've used "midifier" in dos and it is impossible.
